As a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, Dr. Christian specializes in pain and musculoskeletal medicine. With a previous role as outpatient medical director of Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network in Lehigh Valley, PA, and an academic appointment at the University of Pennsylvania Department of PM&R, Dr. Christian has the expertise to provide the best possible care. He earned his board certification through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is the owner and medical director of Aether Medicine in the Wayne, Mainline Philadelphia, PA area.

Education and Training
Dr. Christian received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2009, where he was awarded Student of the Year in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Dr. Christian earned and completed an internship at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee. He received his PM & R Training from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2013. He is a graduate of the Mongan Commonwealth Fund Fellowship at Harvard Medical School. He also obtained a Master's Degree in Public Health at the Harvard School of Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy and Management. Dr. Christian's interest in the use of technology to create value for Patients led to recent completion of course work in Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Dr. Christian has obtained advance training in Chronic Pain management, Spasticity, ultrasound-guided Injections, Medical Cannabis Titration. He's dedicated to learning innovative skills and techniques that bring value to his Patient. He's a lifetime learner and enjoying finding new solutions for his Patients.

Editing this after my most recent visit: Asare Christian is the doctor who listened to my issues and has now helped me pinpoint biologically, the things that have been lingering and other doctors gaslit me about for years. Being in the medical field myself, I know just enough to ask the right questions and have always looked for a partner who can guide me to the answers I would never know myself without completing medical school. Aether Medicine has been this. No symptom is "crazy" and every response is extremely thoughtful and informative. Highly recommend.

He made some recommendations for my work-out regimen that have paid off - changing my body composition and helping my weight maintenance. I feel better than I have in a long while.
Sharon Kempin20/09/2023Dr. Christian and his staff are very kind and caring. I had severe nerve pain which felt like lightening shocks going down from knee to foot after my knee replacement. My previous replacement on the other leg that had just been done about 2 months previously had gone well. Pain meds weren't touching the pain and Dr. Christian was able to find the right dose of gabapentin to manage the pain. I quickly stopped taking other pain meds and am now weaning from the gabapentin. I can't thank him enough for helping me when I was at wit's end with that nerve pain. I'd highly recommend Dr. Christian and give my whole-hearted gratitude to him!
Amy Lukasevich20/09/2023I cannot say enough good things about Dr Christian and Aether Medicine! I was referred to him by Dr Laura Elko at Mobility Specialists and he’s changed my life. As a middle age post menopause woman, I had very little energy, bloat, weight gain around the middle that I never had before and all around BLEH! And I’m a chronic state of stress. I met Dr Christian end of May 2023 and now, Mid September I feel amazing! The investment is worth it! He got me back on track and mew habits reinstated! I finally don’t need to nap everyday, I’ve lost the belly weight and am continuing to building muscle. It’s worth every dime. This is not a get skinny quick fix, it’s a get healthy all over inside and out and get back to life!!! It’s a total body approach with healthy eating and exercise, with a focus on stress and everything else going on inside the body. He doesn’t follow fads, he follows the science. Cannot recommend his practice and philosophy enough!! 20 stars out of 5!!!!
JUDY FORD15/09/2023When I first went to Dr Christian, I was in a lot of pain from a combination of issues for over a year with things progressively getting worse. I had been to several doctors, physical therapy, injections, and on pain medication none of which helped. Since being under Dr Christians care (2+ months), I am finally making progress with my pain level and my overall health. Dr Christian takes the time to truly listen to whatever your medical issues and problems are and does what’s best for you to improve and get in better health. I am very grateful to have found this practice!!

He is very welcoming, understanding, and highly knowledgeable in his field. He also makes you feel seen and heard and does not rush his appointments. I cannot say enough positive things about this practice and the front staff is also so friendly and very responsive. I definitely recommend Dr. Christian for anyone who has tried countless other options with no luck, he is the best!
